AWS CEO Says The Move To Cloud Computing Is Just Getting Started

According to Adam Selipsky, CEO of Amazon Web Services, cloud computing is still in its infancy and will only continue to advance; he told Jim Cramer on CNBC on Tuesday.

The first quarter’s revenue for the cloud company, which made up about 16 percent of Amazon’s total revenue, exceeded the expectations of the analysts StreetAccount surveyed. AWS increased more quickly than experts had predicted from the same period a year ago.

Adam Selipsky, who serves the role of CEO at AWS, had the following to say:

Selipsky claimed that despite increased industry competition and the threat of a recession, AWS continues to perform well.

He further added:

Demand continues to be strong, with lots of new customers signing up and existing customers expanding.
