Steps to Install Oracle VirtualBox on Windows Server 2022
The following steps you need to perform to install Oracle VirtualBox on your windows server 2022:
Step 1: Download the Oracle Virtualbox Installer
Download the latest available version of Oracle Virtualbox from the official Virtualbox website. Click on the ‘Windows hosts’ link. The win installer Oracle VM VirtualBox 6.1.32 will immediately download to your system in a few minutes.
Step 2: Run the VirtualBox Installer
Once the Virtualbox setup is downloaded, execute it on your system to start the Virtualbox installation. Right-click on the downloaded Virtualbox installer and choose the option ‘Run as administrator’.
Step 3: Complete Setup Wizard
After that, the VirtualBox 6.1.32 installation wizard will display on your Windows Server. Click on the ‘Next’.

The Virtualbox by default will be installed in the ‘C:Program FilesOracleVirtualbox’ directory. However, if you have enough disk space then, you can install it in another directory of your system. Here, we will proceed with the default location. Click on ‘Next’.
In the next wizard, all options are enabled. Click on ‘Next’ to proceed further.
In this dialog, you will see a warning message that Virtualbox network features will reset your network connection and will disconnect from the network temporarily. Click on ‘Yes’ to start the Virtualbox installation.
At this point, the setup wizard is ready to start the Virtualbox custom installation. If you need to review changes, you can go back. Otherwise, click on ‘Install’ to start the installation process.
The setup wizard will install all the necessary files in your default installation directory. During the installation, you will be prompted to install the USB device drivers. Click on ‘Install’.
Further, it will update the system registry values and complete the installation.
Once the installation is completed, the following dialog will display on your system. Click on the checkbox ‘Start Oracle VM Virtualbox 6.1.32 after installation’ that will immediately launch the Virtualbox on your system after completing the installation. So, click on ‘Finish’ to close the setup wizard.

Install Oracle VM Virtualbox Extension Pack
After installing the VirtualBox, install the Extension Pack for Oracle VM VirtualBox 6.1.32. The extension packs will add advanced features to your Virtualbox such as USB support 2.0 or 3.0, VRDP (VirtualBox Remote Desktop Protocol) support, and AES algorithm support for disk image encryption. To install the VirtualBox extension pack, click on the ‘Preferences’.
Navigate into the ‘Extensions’ tab and click on Add (+) symbol.
Select the downloaded extension pack ‘Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-6.1.32.vbox-extpack’ file location and click on ‘Open’.
The following dialog will display on Virtualbox manager. Click on ‘Install’ to add the Oracle VM VirtualBox extension pack.
The confirmation notification will show on the screen in case of a successful installation. Click on ‘OK’.
The installed extension packs will show in the Virtualbox ‘Extensions’ tab.
Finally, Oracle VirtualBox is ready to use. You can create a new Virtual machine using the ‘New’ option.
Uninstall Oracle VM Virtualbox from Windows Server 2022
If you do not need to run VirtualBox on your system, you can uninstall it from the ‘Setting’ of Windows Server. Under the Apps & features section, search the ‘Oracle VM Virtualbox 6.1.32’. Click on the ‘Uninstall’ to remove this application from this system.
