The Host has been in business since 2007 offering their customers good quality hosting options. They have shared, VPS and dedicated servers available and are doing a great job at keeping up with the latest trends in web hosting. They do work hard to be an affordable hosting provider, but seem to have found a nice balance between quality and price.
In addition to hosting they also provide online storage, software licensing, SSL certificates and domain name registration. Whether you need these services or not, this company can meet your needs.
Uptime & Reliability
Very Stable Hosting
The hosting with this company is known to be very stable. This is largely because they use good quality hardware for all their servers. Some of the entry level shared hosting packages do appear to be oversold so there will be some slowness, which I saw reports of. As you move up, however, that is less likely to occur. I didn’t see a uptime guarantee but they did mention that the uptime has never dropped below 99%.
Features
Lots of Hosting Options
As you look through the different hosting packages you will see that there is a lot to choose from. They have multiple options at each level, which is nice. It can, however, become confusing because of how many they have. At the entry level shared hosting package you will get no disk space, no databases, no mail boxes and it is free. It is not really clear what this hosting would be used for.
As you move up, however, you do get some features. The next level up gives you 100 mb of disk space, which still isn’t very much. At the high end of shared hosting you will get 100 gig, which is more than enough. The number of sites you can host with shared hosting is limited to 0-50 depending on the package you choose.
When you move up to VPS hosting you’ll have five options. Each of them is quite nice with disk space ranging from 10Gb to 150Gb. Processor cores goes from 1-4 depending on package and RAM ranges from 512mb to 8 gig.
If you’d like a dedicated server you can choose from a bunch of different options. All the dedicated servers have Intel CPUs in them and lots of disk space. servers themselves are quite nice, though you have to click a few times to see how much RAM you get, which is inconvenient. The servers, however, are quite nice.
Support
Limited Information
I did not find any one complaining about the tech support with this company, but I also could not find too much information about it at all. They do have an email address and a phone number, so that is a start. There was no knowledge base or anything like that to help you learn more about the hosting.
Pricing
Reasonable Prices
The prices with this company are all in a foreign currency, ‘rph’ which I can’t confirm what that actually is. My best guess is that it is the Ukrainian currency. If that is the case then the prices are all quite reasonable for what you’re getting. Of course, those who live in the region will be able to evaluate the exact value of each package much better.
Summary
Overall Good Hosting
This company does a good job at meeting the needs of their customers. THey have been in business quite a while and have a mostly good reputation for quality. There are some issues with slowness on the entry level packages, but that is fairly typical of low cost shared hosting. Overall, this is a nice hosting company for those looking for hosting in Russia or the Ukraine.
