Fast, secure, reliable, featurerich and awesome support
Our site is a big photography review and submission site with lots of user interaction and big files. At our old host, we had lots of downtimes due to attacks and many user complained about not being able to upload files or even submit payment. A friend of mine recommened Raidboxes and this was a really good decision.
First of all, many things that we had to have developers doing before we can now do ourselves it saves us a lot of time and therefore money. The attacks on our site did not stop, but Raidboxes have a lot of measures in place to determine of traffic is valid or spam or attacks, so our overall load is down by 85%. (Raidboxes also got a live cpu/ram load page for monitoring (in the screenshots)).
And they are fast, really fast. Our speed was good before, but now we might get speeding tickets.
I personally only had two or three conversations with their support, but those were great. They don’t have a ticket system, they have live-chat support which i perfer personally and they replied in seconds. Also you’re talking to a human being, not a bot.
Although they seem pricey for a host, it’s the features and their good security that make up for it. Because our server load has drastically gone down because of their checks for valid traffic we are now on a way lower plan than with our old host and save hundreds of euros. And our developers don’t have to take care about many server features, because we can do them ourselves in the Raidboxes dashboard.
