• WordPress and WooCommerce hosting – Tailored for websites built on WordPress, as well as Ecommerce websites built on WordPress’s Ecommerce solution, WooCommerce.

GTMetrix and Google PageSpeed Insights are two great tools for analyzing host speed and performance. Using both, I tested the host’s domain (I expect their domain to be hosted on their servers) to measure their speed and performance. These were the results:

On GTMetrix, GoDaddy obtained a good time to first byte (TTFB) of 724 ms and an overall performance of 90%:

On PageSpeed Insights, the host had a TTFB of 680 ms for the desktop version and an overall performance of 89%:

I ran the same tests on TMDHosting’s domain and got back impressive results (better than GoDaddy). Check them out:

I was quite impressed to find that GoDaddy also had a YouTube geared towards helping business owners.

I tried chatting with a live agent, and after waiting for nothing more than 50 seconds, I got a response from an agent. Check the screenshot below.

An awesome thing about their live chat is that there’s also a bot to attend to your needs while you wait for a real-life agent.

Keep in mind that you can sign in to enjoy high-priority response times when using live chat.

TMDHosting customer Support

Like GoDaddy, TMDHosting provides 24/7 support via live chat, ticket, telephone, and email. You can access the live chat option on all pages of the website, even if you’re not an existing customer.

To test it out, I tried chatting with one of their agents live about free website migration. It didn’t take long for me to get a reply (check the screenshot below):

If you want to learn about their products or services yourself, you can go through their FAQ section, blog, tutorials, and vast knowledgebase. Unlike GoDaddy, TMDHosting does not have an official YouTube channel currently.

In my experience, TMDHsoting’s response time via live chat was far quicker than that of GoDaddy (where I had to wait for about two minutes). TMD also has a vast knowledgebase and lots of tutorials, so it’s the winner of this round.

TMDHosting Ease of use

TMDHosting features a fun user interface that uses a combination of blue, white, and gray. Their homepage is rich with features and important hosting details that might interest you. You can use the navigation links on top of the page to access specific plans:

Once you become a customer, TMDHosting provides you with the good old cPanel. This cPanel is not very intuitive and includes so many features from the get-go. You can access the file manager, Weebly builder, backup and restore, and security settings, among others.

I personally find TMDHosting’s user interface and cPanel more intuitive and better-looking than that of GoDaddy (cPanel looks a bit outdated). For this reason, TMDHosting wins this round.

In all of TMD Hosting’s plans, you get free SSL encryption, DDoS protection, domain protection, malware scanning, regular backups, and other necessary features for securing your domain.
