Round 3: Website Performance (Uptime & Speed)
You should consider your web host’s uptime and server speed before you sign up. Higher uptime and faster server speed give a better website experience and minimize bounce rates.

FastComet Uptime & Speed
I tested FastComet server speed by running their home domain through GTMetrix and Google PageSpeed Insights. These two popular testing tools give accurate server speed results and website performance. For context, TTFB means Time to First Byte and it measures the responsiveness of a web server
On GTMetrix, FastComet had a 74ms TTFB and an overall web performance of 92%. This shows you the site is pretty strong.
When I ran FastComet’s domain on PageSpeed Insights, I got a TTFB of 1.3s and a pretty good 78% web performance
Hostinger Uptime and Speed
I carried out the same test on Hostinger for comparison. When I ran Hostinger’s domain through GTMetrix, I got a 63ms TTFB and its web performance was 81%. These stats are pretty good in my opinion.
Running the domain through PageSpeed Insights also gave me the following results. I got 1.4s TTFB of and a poor web performance of 39%
NoteNote: The values above can vary depending on the distance between the location of the test tool and the host servers. I gave the above figures to give you a rough idea before choosing a web host. You can run further tests to get more accurate insights.
And the winner is…FastComet
Both testing tools showed that FastComet had a better overall web performance. The difference between their TTFB is quite small so I consider them equal in that section.

FastComet Customer Support
FastComet has extensive customer support channels. You can decide to call them on toll-free lines, start a live chat, submit a ticket or reach out through email. They also have a comprehensive knowledgebase if you want to learn on your own. This is what you will find when you bring up their “Contact Us†page.
For further insight, I tried starting a live chat and was prompted to fill in some info.
I provided all the required information and proceeded to the live chat.
The customer support agent at the other end responded almost immediately and I was quite impressed.
Hostinger Customer Support
Hostinger does not offer phone support because they don’t want to keep their customers waiting at the other end of the line. That is according to them anyway.
However, they offer email support among a rather impressive support suite. If you are a client, their dedicated customer success team is ready to cater to all your needs.
If you would rather find solutions yourself, there are multiple self-help tools on the platform.
Their live chat feature is not available on the home page. You have to become a paid customer to access the live chat feature on Hostinger.
And the winner is…FastComet
FastComet customer support is always online. You can chat with their support agents even before you become a customer. They also have phone support so I’ll give them this round.
